The host at Vallanes has grown organically for many years and planted thousands of trees. Wwoofers are able to gain experience in organic growing and food processing, according to season. We provide good warm accommodation and plenty of good vegetarian food.

SEEDS Iceland is an organisation that is non-governmental, non-profit and works to promote intercultural understanding, environmental protection and awareness through inviting volunteers to contribute on environmental, social and cultural projects within Iceland.
SEEDS works with a numbers of local communities, authorities and individuals on a number of projects that are designed to be mutually beneficial to all involved: the volunteers, the local hosting communities and Iceland as a whole.
Since 2005, nearly 8000 volunteers have joined projects with Seeds all around Iceland. The nature of these projects has ranged environmental and conservation projects, cultural activities, festivals & sports gatherings, as well as some projects related to language and environmental education.
