Leh City, India
I had a chance to visit Leh City when the Nature Club of my college arrange an educational tour to this remote part of India. Tucked away in the mountain ranges of the Himalaya, this city has a unique culture that refreshes you thoroughly.
Sitting pretty at the height of over 10,000ft, running up and down its narrow winding roads will strain you for sure! This photo was taken from the top of the city at Shanti Stupa. Sitting in the courtyard of this monastery, I experienced peace like never before. There was a cool wind blowing across, the sun was just perfectly warm and I sat with folded legs looking at this stunning vista. In that moment, I felt as though time had stopped briefly, giving me a chance to ponder over my past and the decisions for my future.
Thank you Chaitanya for sharing your photo and thoughts.
