Organisation: The Clean Environment
Location: Gobi Desert, Mongolia
Website: Tree Planting
The Gobi desert in southern Mongolia is growing at an alarming rate. Desert sands are spreading, not only toward the fertile grasslands and forests to the north, but even as far as Ulaanbaatar, the nation’s capitol.
Our mission is to help to prevent the sand from moving northward by planting as many trees as possible in Mongolia. We are a very small group with limited resources. Every person counts in this noble mission, and your help could make a big difference in preserving the world’s precious environment. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to come to Mongolia and physically participate.
